Within these
pages is a vision of love and a joy-filled celebration of God’s
children. This is not
about a building—it is about a living body. A
body that is made up of those
who gather and feel the very real presence of God’s love for all
people and who
wish to
celebrate in that love as they share Jesus’ wonderful good news. St.
Paul calls this the body of Christ. That is what Grant UCC is. Each
person, touched by the Holy Spirit, gifted with talents, to serve in
ministries of love in the name of Jesus Christ. Ministry is not
something the church assigns but the various unique and special callings
in which each of God’s children serve the Great Commandment and the
Great Commission.
Last
Century, the people of Grant United Church of Christ made a commitment
to throw open wide the doors of the church "for all who wish to
worship with us." This Century the commitment to inclusive
community worship continues as we reach out into the world and
"make the walls of the
church nearly invisible."
